Schoolhouse Gallery show part 2, plus online exhibition "5 x 5"

Two of my paintings at Schoolhouse Gallery in Provincetown MA (see last post) will continue their stay through December, as part of the group show REBOOT.

Meanwhile, five more of my pieces are appearing in an online exhibition put together by the gallery, called "5 x 5".  This collection also features works by Marty Davis, Rebecca Doughty, photography duo Kahn & Selesnick, and Paul Stopforth.

"Summer Crush: Best of 2016" at Schoolhouse Gallery, Provincetown

I'm excited to have two recent pieces included in this end-of-summer fling at the Schoolhouse Gallery in Provincetown, MA.  This will be my first time showing on the Cape, and I'm honored to hang alongside of a great group of artists from the Schoolhouse roster.  Almost takes the sting out of the change of seasons... ;)

Summer Crush: Best of 2016 runs from Friday September 16 through Wednesday October 26, 2016.   Opening reception Friday 9/16, 6-8 PM.

Small Works in New York City

Four of my  small pieces on paper have been included in the annual Small Works show at Jeffrey Leder Gallery in Long Island City/Queens, NYC.  This is my second time showing at Jeffrey Leder, and I'm pleased to be included!  

Small Works 4 opens October 16 and runs until November 8, with an opening reception Friday Oct. 16 at 8PM.  Featuring the works of:

Group show at Porter Mill Gallery

I'm excited to be showing brand-new work this month as part of the five-person show ABOVE / BELOW / WITHIN.  Featuring artists from Boston's North Shore, this exhibition focuses on our immediate surroundings: the coastline, the small town, the salt-marsh... the memory of living in and being shaped by a place both enduring and constantly changing.  The works presented range from full abstraction to finely detailed realism, but at every point along the spectrum, it's clear that these pieces share a common territory.

ABOVE / BELOW / WITHIN runs from October 3 to November 1 with an artists' reception on Thursday, October 22 from 6- 9PM.  All are invited... hope to see you there!  (The gallery and studios are also a featured stop on the trolley route during Beverly Arts District's kickoff-day celebration... so if you can't make the reception, check us out on Saturday, Oct. 17.)

Inaugural show at Cedar Tree Gallery, Essex MA

7 North Shore Artists

I’ll be joining a group of artists in this loosely-landscape-themed show — the first exhibition at the new Cedar Tree Gallery, adjacent to the venerable Walker Creek Furniture studio.  

In addition to five of my paintings, this show features work by North Shore artists Bruce Herman, Ben Macadam, Rosemary Scott-Fishburn, Anne Pelikan, Miranda Updike and George Wingate.  These artists have been deeply influenced by their surroundings on the Massachusetts coast, and 7 North Shore Artists offers works in a variety of modes which speak of that fascination.  On view Sept. 12 - Oct. 26, with opening reception 5-8 PM on Sept. 12.

Cedar Tree Gallery is located at 57 Eastern Ave., Essex MA, on the left side of the Walker Creek Furniture lot.

I’m excited to return to Mingo Gallery for a second solo exhibition, called *you are here.  This show is drawn from the series of paintings I made during 2013-14, exploring themes of home, place-memory, return and departure, the terrestrial and the temporal.  (Check the archives, above, to see these.)
