(*Not the official title; ie: I'm probably the only nerd calling it this.)
I'm excited to be among the artists featured in Chroma volumes 3 & 4 this summer. Chroma is an annual book put out by the crew at Beverly's own Tryptic Press, spotlighting a range of local and regional artists and creatives of all kinds -- or as Tryptic puts it: "Creating an uncommon home within the "Chroma Family", bridging abstract painters, fashion photography, comic book illustrators, community based art programs, printmakers, sound-makers and even robot-makers."
This time around, Chroma was so full of local maker-y goodness, it took two volumes to contain it, and two art receptions to handle the sheer awesomeness. Tryptic Press and Montserrat College of Art are teaming up to host a group show featuring the work of 50+ artists from all four volumes of Chroma. It kicks off with an opening reception on Saturday July 30th, from 5-8PM. Promises to be the epic art party of the summer ... you'll want to be there! Then, on Thursday September 8, a second reception is shaking down, also from 5-8PM.
"Chroma: A New England Art Awakening" opens Saturday July 30 with reception from 5:00-8PM and will remain on display until September 25, with a second reception on Thursday September 8.
